5 Romantic Ibiza Proposal Spots
Ibiza is part of many people’s love stories, and as well as weddings – many people choose it for the location to pop the question. Here are some of natural romantic recommendations…
In Front of Es Vedra
Where: Cala D’Hort – South West
About: Said to be one of the most magnetic places in Europe, and probably the most iconic view in Ibiza, Es Vedra is an ideal location for a sunset proposal. The viewing point close to Cala D’Hort is the most well known, but you can also see Es Vedra from different vantage points around the South West Coast of the island if you’d prefer a little more privacy, get off the beaten path to get down on one knee.
The Bridge Over the River in Santa Eulalia
Where: Entrance of Santa Eulalia (as you’re entering from Ibiza Town south side) East
About: The river in Santa Eulalia is probably one of the islands most underrated yet beautiful natural areas. Unique to the Balearic islands, the river is a short peaceful walk from the entrance of Santa Eulalia and is a little enclave surrounded by natural that leads up to the open ocean at the quiet end of Santa Eulalia. Towards the end of the river sits a beautiful bridge, where many people have attached their padlocks of love – a sea view in one direction and a romantic upstream view in the other, makes this a symbolic proposal spot.
Viewing Point at Las Puertas Del Cielo
Where: Santa Agnès – West
About: If you’re looking for a natural spot to pop the question, but value your privacy for this special moment – the viewing point for Las Puertas Del Cielo could be exactly what you’re looking for. Perfectly in situ for sunset, a short walk from the restaurant takes you to a secluded area where you can enjoy a scenic sea view at the aptly named ‘doors to heaven’.
Secluded Moon Beach
Where: North (follow the road to Cala Xaraca, and up behind the beach, take a right turn, the road will get rough).
About: If you want to get off the beaten path for your proposal and really surprised your loved one with somewhere on island that they are unlikely to have been to before, then why not try a proposal at the secret moon beach. Regardless of the time of day, it’s unlikely you’ll be surrounded by too many other tourists, so you can share you’re special moment with your loved one undisturbed.
Sunrise at Aguas Blancas
Where: North East
About: If you can coax you’re loved out of bed early enough to catch the sunrise in Aguas Blancas, even in high season, you might be lucky enough to get the beach all to yourself. Sunset has been done to death but there’s something extra special about the pay off you get if you can catch the sunrise in romantic seclusion to ask the big question.
