Great gifts for groomsmen

Choosing presents for your wedding attendants doesn’t have to be a chore. It is traditional to give thank you gifts to bridesmaids and groomsmen, but thanks to modern (read: online) shopping it is possible to make this an easy and enjoyable task. The secret is to plan ahead, so you have plenty of time to order your preferred gifts. Then, sit back, relax, and wait for the happy smiles on your friends’ faces as they unwrap their present.

MONOGRAMMED FLASKS
This is a classic gift, and why not? Flasks are a fun, stylish, practical accessory that comes in a vast range of shapes, sizes and materials. For a laid-back wedding, why not choose fun novelty flasks? If you’re having a polished affair, sleek silver with engraved initials is appropriate. Better still, this is a gift your friend can use again and again.

SCARVES
Stylish, practical, seasonable, and affordable, scarves are a great gift that is easy to pack. For autumn/winter weddings choose something in fine wool or cashmere and muted colours. Linen or silk-mix is perfect for a cool summer look. You can personalise the scarves with initials or nicknames, or buy the groomsmen each one in their favourite colour.

COCKTAIL KITS
Get things shaking with the gift of a cocktail kit. They range from expensive, bartender quality kits that come with premium spirits to inexpensive kits with basic supplies. Pick a different kit for each groomsman so they can each try their hand at mixing their favourite beverage.

PERSONALISED TOILETRY BAG
This is another winner as far as having loads of options for you, the buyer, and being something the recipient can use again and again. Leather is always a stylish option, however you can also get handsome bags in canvas, waxed cloth or other materials. Toiletry bags are easy to customise with names, nicknames or initials. You can also include small gifts like Hierbas de Ibiza soaps, or aftershave.

LUGGAGE TAGS
If your groomsmen have travelled from far and wide to attend your wedding, thank them with engraved brass luggage tags. These are a classy alternative to filling out those scraps of paper the airlines provide, and are sure to be used again and again.

MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS
Sometimes a one size fits all gift isn’t possible, or appropriate. If you’re scratching your head what to get that is suitable for groomsmen of different ages, or who have different interests, magazine subscriptions could be perfect. They are inexpensive, you can choose something that is just right for each friend, and they will continue to enjoy them through a whole year.

DAY OUT
Give the gift of happy memories by treating your groomsmen to a day out. Depending on the season and their interests it could be a Jeep safari around Ibiza, wine-tasting, sea-kayaking, or an afternoon at the go-kart track. Finish off the day with a delicious meal at one of the island’s many fantastic restaurants, and a bottle of wine or spirits for each of them to take home.
